Description
The software development environment for the PLC of the drive. The 9300 Servo PLC and Drive PLC are programmed using the Drive PLC Developer Studio (DDS) integrated software development environment.

System requirements

Microsoft® XP 32 Bit as of SP3 / Windows® 7 (32 Bit and 64 Bit)
IBM-compatible PC with Intel® Pentium® processor as of 333 MHz
128 MB RAM
250 MB free hard disk capacity
Minimum resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels with 256 displayable colours
Mouse
Free slots / interfaces according to the requirements of the fieldbus interface module to be used

Note
With the installation routine you can execute the following installations:

full verison DDS Professional V2.4 (input of a licence number is necessary)
update DDS Professional from V2.x to V2.4 (installation of a previous DDS version is necessary)

The full functional range of the Drive PLC Developer Studio Professional can be used free of charge. During installation, the license number specified under 'Software Installation' (point 2) must be entered.

Software installation
Depending on the current status of your PC there are two different ways to execute the installation:

Previous version V2.4 is installed: Installation of Service Pack 1
Proceed as follows to install the Service Pack for DDS Professional V2.4:

Save the file DDS_V24SP1.zip (64.2 MB) in any directory on your PC.
Unpack the ZIP file into any directory on your PC.
Close all DSD versions if you have already started them.
Start the setup.exe file and follow the installation instructions.

In all other cases
Proceed as follows to install the full version of DDS Basic V2.4:

Save the file DDS_Professional_V24a.zip (73.4 MB) in any directory on your PC.
Unpack the ZIP file ino any directory on your PC.
Close all DSD versions if you have already started them.
tart the setup.exe progam and follow the installation instructions.
Enter the following license number: 87654072
Install the current Service Pack afterwards:
Save the file DDS_V24SP1.zip (64.2 MB) in any directory on your PC.
Unpack the ZIP file into any directory on your PC.
Close all DSD versions if you have already started them.
Start the setup.exe file and follow the installation instructions.
