Function description
Up to now, the assignment of the measuring systems to the x and y axis has been fixed (x axis: measuring system of the master axis, y axis: measuring system of the slave axis). Thanks to the current version 2.3 of the CamDesigner Professional (not CamDesigner Basic!) the measuring system of the master axis, the slave axis or a free measuring system ('characteristic') can be assigned to the x and y-axis. The measuring system is selected via the window asking for the cam profile assignment.
When the cam profile is converted from user units into incremental variables (LCx file) the measuring systems selected is observed (if the characteristic option is selected the values are preset in increments and an internal conversion is not executed).
Applications
- Applications in case of which a non-linear assignment without transformation of the measuring systems is required (e.g. distance-controlled clutch function in the master value string of cam profile applications, cross-cutter correction profile in order to distort the signals for the material speed, etc.)
- Applications in case of which without reference to any measuring system is used
