Compatibility with previous versions Engineer:
The Engineer 1.5 is downwards compatible in terms of function.
This means that higher software versions support all functions included in previous software versions as of version 1.0.
Due to the increasing number of functions integrated into more recent software versions, errors may occur when parameter sets are transferred from higher software versions to lower ones.
In order to be able to operate and project devices with a new firmware (as of 02.00), the Engineer version 1.5 is required.
Previous Engineer versions cannot be used for new projects. This also applies to the diagnostics of existing machines, where devices with a new firmware (as of 02.00) are installed.
The Engineer versions 1.2, 1,3 and 1.4 released with bundle 1 / bundle 2 have to be replaced at all customers if firmware 2.0 is used in the 9400 HighLine controllers.
