Compatibility with previous versions
Engineer:
The functions of the Engineer 2.5 are downward compatible.
This means that the functions of the previously released software versions from version 1.2 will be supported by the later software versions.
The Engineer version 2.5 is required to operate and project devices with the new Firmware (9400 version 3). Devices with older Firmware versions released for free marketing will also be supported by the Engineer 2.5.
• Previous Engineer versions cannot be applied in new projects.
• The previous Engineer version 1.5 can also be used for diagnostics purposes in plants already established if devices with the new Firmware (9400 from 02.00) are installed.
• The Engineer Versions 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5 released to use in combination with a 9400 Bundle 1-3 must be replaced if the customer uses Firmware 3.0 in the 9400 HighLine controllers.
