What happens?
The following message appears after opening a folder in the parameter monitor of the Global Drive PLC Developer Studio:
DDS.EXE no longer works
The Global Drive PLC Developer Studio must be closed. The PLC project can no longer be saved.
When does this behaviour occur?
If the Global Drive PLC Developer Studio is installed on Windows 7 and a folder is opened in the parameter monitor, the program crashes.
Which products are affected?
Global Drive PLC Developer Studio from V2.0
Short-term measures:
Use the programs Global Drive Control or EASY Starter to monitor and change codes (parameters) of the PLC target system.
Evaluation/recommendations:
Due to the above-described function restriction, under Windows 7, the parameter monitor of the Drive PLC Developer Studio cannot be used to display or change codes of the PLC target system. As an alternative, you may use other Lenze programs to do this. Due to the program crash, changes made in the PLC project can no longer be saved.
Under Windows XP, the parameter monitor can be used without restrictions.
