Ethernet connection to the device can no longer be established (corrected from V1.18.1)
Corrected from:
EASY Starter ab V1.18.1
Response of the new version:
Regardless of whether the connection to the device was previously interrupted, the EASY Starter can be used to establish a connection to a device via Ethernet. The 'Ethernet' connection is displayed in the 'Add device' dialog.
What happens?
A connection to a device via Ethernet cannot be established. In the 'Add Device' dialog or in the Welcome dialog the connection 'Ethernet' is not displayed. In addition the following message is displayed:
A problem has been identified: Not all supported connections are displayed! Please restart the computer to fix the problem.
When does the behaviour occur?
If there is an online connection via Ethernet between EASY Starter and a device and if the connection to this device is interrupted (e.g. by switching off the device), then the behaviour described above can be observed in rare cases.
Which products are affected? EASY Starter from V1.18
Short-term measures:
Restart the computer.
Remove the device from the EASY Starter device list with which there is an online connection via Ethernet before you disconnect the device.
Evaluation/Recommendations:
If a connection from the EASY Starter to a device (e.g. an i950 Servo Inverter) is interrupted, then in rare cases the computer must be restarted to re-establish a connection to the device.
