Runtime - Controls - Key: Improved behavior if the KeyMode = Key property is set

Corrected from:
Controller Firmware V1.9

Response of the new version:
With firmware 1.9 the function restriction (as described below) of the control "Key" is removed.

What happens?
A variable is to be manipulated in the PLC via the Key control with the property KeyMode = Key. In 50% of all cases the value change of the variable, which is bound in the key, arrives with up to 2s delay in the PLC. This is independent of how long the key is pressed.

When does the behaviour occur?
The behavior occurs when the key control is pressed or released. Releasing the key control is more critical, since the delay occurs much more frequently and the time delay is much greater.

Which products are affected?
Controller firmware smaller version V1.9

Short-term measures:

Evaluation / recommendations:
The key control with the property KeyMode = Key must not be used to move axes, because when the key control is released, the axis can overrun in 50% of all cases due to the delayed reaction in the PLC.
