Partial access to bit string variables

Function-extension:

Partial access to bitstring variables is performed with a similar syntax to direct access to absolute I/O addresses. The variable name is extended by a dot '.' and a percent sign '%' followed by a size prefix and the memory position.

The following bitstring data types are supported:

• BYTE
• WORD
• DWORD
• LWORD

Examples:

• variable.%B0
• variable.%W1
• variable.%D2
  
• variable.%L0
• variable.%X11
