Function-extension:

Modules of the Lenze FAST Motion, e.g. technology modules, can be used for third-party drives that support the CiA 402 profile.

To do this, the ESI file of the third-party drive must be installed in the device repository of the PLC Designer as usual. The third-party drive can then be connected to the EtherCAT master of the Lenze Controller as an EtherCAT device in the PLC project.

If the external drive is selected in the device tree, the context menu command 'Add Function-node' can be used to create an 'Axis' in the Functions folder, which is automatically connected to the third-party drive. The connection to an 'Axis' can be subsequently changed via the 'Function connection' tab of the third-party drive 

If the set and actual values of the third-party drive have a different scaling than expected by the Lenze FAST Motion, the scaling can be adapted in the PLC program using the 'L_MC1P_GenericAxisConfiguration' block:
