Change or reset your password

You can change your password to increase the security of your X4 Remote account. You can also reset your password to regain access to your X4 Remote account in case you forgot your password or your account got compromised.

Always make sure you choose a secure password to prevent other people from accessing your account. We recommend searching online about what makes a password secure. Additionally, you can increase the security of your account even further by adding two-factor authentication.

Change my password

Please follow the steps below to change your password:

  • Go to X4 Remote, open the account menu in the top right corner and select [My profile].
  • Go to Login and security and click on [Change password].
  • Enter your current passwordnew password and confirm your new password.
  • (Optional) The option “Require all devices to sign in with new password” will log you out of X4 Remote on all devices, requiring your new password to log in.
  • Click on [Confirm].

Confirmation e-mail

You will receive an e-mail informing you that the password has been changed.

Reset my password

Please follow the steps below to reset your password:

  • Go to the X4 Remote login page and click on [Forgot password?].
  • Enter your e-mail address and click on [Send me instructions].
  • Click on [Reset my password] in the e-mail that you received.
  • Enter your new password and confirm your new password.
  • (Optional) The option “Require all devices to sign in with new password” will log you out of X4 Remote on all devices, requiring your new password to log in.
  • Click on [Reset password].

Confirmation e-mail

You will receive an e-mail informing you that the password has been changed.
